Man, it has been busy lately. Lots of self created pressure. A wonderful feeling of surrender to my own workaholic nature.
Finished my first album with the help of Ashley Miller in KC. Will post the finished record soon. SHIT! How about right now? No – not yet. But soon.
Lovely, Still is playing at the Stony Brook Film Festival this Saturday. I’ll be there to do a Q&A and rally support for our September release.
I will be a guest of Movies 101 with Prof. Richard Brown on Wednesday night if anyone at NYU wants to come. I believe they will be playing Lovely, Still and I will be speaking directly after with the Prof.
Spent much time at Montery Media (Our distributor) working on the DVD art. Looking very good.

I hope to begin shooting my next project this spring in the many hidden and beautiful locations of the world.
I turn 26 July 31st and to celebrate I will be playing the crazy rad Benefit show in Omaha, NE with Flowers Forever.
That is all for now. I will try harder to update more since I need to.
Get into a deep philosophical argument with someone and the first person who says “I KNOW NOTHING!” wins!
Thanks everyone who’s come to all the SOLD OUT screenings of Lovely, Still. Spread the word about our film. It comes out in the fall and we gotta make sure it takes over the world.
LOVE!

“Lovely, Still” review : “A work of complete originality, LOVELY, STILL takes romance down the rabbit hole – leaving both its characters and audience to wonder about the true nature of love.” – Scott Eyman
Thanks Scott!
Played Final Fantasy XIII for the first time last night. It looks like they took all the best parts of previous games and made this one. Except there is no World Map and Nobuo Uematsu didn’t do the music. Total Bummer.

WHATEVER FREAK!
Man, one of these days I will actually use this Blog. But in the meantime, Im going to continue to ignore it. I’m just to lazy for it.
Lovely is playing all over the place next month. HEre is one example:
More coming soon. I mix my record in a week. Then I begin puppet design for my next project.
Hey everyone,
Two new songs are up in the music section. The first; Dreama, I recorded while traveling around the past few days here in ATL. My buddy Mason is playing Bass and Lead on it. The other: Love Spring, I recorded awhile ago – It is sad, prepare yo self.
We should have a release date very soon for Lovely, Still. I will keep everyone posted. I had this idea of stealing the film and then just going crazy touring around the US with it. Having underground screenings and selling t-shirts and stuff. It would be great to travel and if I have to wait any longer for my first film to come out I’m gonna to blow my brains out (Not literally of course). LOVE!
Hello again everyone,
I sit now in Phoenix, Arizona. Trying to avoid the brutal brutal brutal blizzards of Omaha, NE. I have never seen so much snow in my life. I’m hear visiting friends and am going to see Sonic Youth this Tuesday. YES! Speaking of Yes – They are on tour! Maybe I should talk about my recent love for prog rock. My great friend and mentor Dereck Higgins began introducing me to Genesis, Yes and King Crimson about two years ago. I was completely hooked. Something about it entirely captivated me. The only problem I have now is that nobody else I play it for likes it. It really turns people off unforunately. So many times I have found the perfect moment with a friend. I say “here, let me show you something really special… Listen to this.” I put it on and the fucking hate it! Absolutely hate it!
So I have decided I must spread the love to all of you – My blog kingdom. Listen to some early Genesis – Listen to some Yes – Listen to some King Crimson. TAKE THESE STEPS:
1. Make a fort in your room like this:

2. Smoke or do not smoke pot (This is optional)
3. Listen to one of the record all the way through, completely giving yourself to it’s story and dynamic. Try out Yes’s Close to the Edge, King Crimson’s Court of the Crimson King or Genesis’s Lamb lies down on Broadway.
ENJOY – tell me what you experience. For nothing is more valuable then surrendering your time for an hour an dedicating it to something you had no part in creating.
As I have grown in age and knowledge, holidays have begun to mean less and less to me. Christmas was my favorite holiday as a child. I have so many amazing and magical memories. The reason Lovely, Still takes place during Christmas was for that reason. But now, as an adult, Christmas has its supreme bummer qualities. The whole consumerism thing is ridiculous and I don’t really think people should be kind and jolly to each other only one time during a year. You should always be a good person right? Right.
Getting presents for people has become the most difficult. As I don’t want to give some standard consumer gift that means nothing (Like a candle or coffee maker or something). I have to spend a lot of time figuring out the best, personal gifts for my parents of significant other. But I suppose it’s a good way to keep you focused on the people you love and the things they care about.
I’m also starting to understand the “Time of year for peace and love and being jolly” thing. Maybe the reason this was created is because the winter time is so freaking miserable. Omaha has been in the middle of a horrible snow storm for a week now. But everyone still tries to be jolly. They help each other push cars and always smile when you walk by them with your face freezing. It’s pretty rad and, as a cherry on top, people make their houses really pretty and covered in light. A big beautiful distraction for this horrible winter weather.
Anway, this entire post was just me procrastinating and distracting myself from actually thinking of honest “real” gifts to give the people I love. I also don’t have money so I have to be really creative.
